Electricity Revenue Assurance
PowerSettle — National Electricity Revenue Assurance Platform

PowerSettle ensures an electricity distributor is paid its wholesale share first — at the point of customer payment — even when billing and collection sit with a separate intermediary. It turns a fragile collections process into a governed, transparent settlement guarantee.

What it does

Revenue, settled at the source

Across many electricity markets, power is sold to customers through municipalities or other intermediaries that collect on the distributor's behalf. The structural risk is not customer non-payment — it is that collected revenue is diverted before the distributor's wholesale share is remitted. PowerSettle ring-fences that share and settles it first, every cycle, at the point of payment — without litigation, negotiation, or reliance on the intermediary's discretion.

How it works

A settlement guarantee, not a promise

Settle at the source

At the point of customer payment, a rules-based engine calculates the distributor's regulated wholesale share and issues the settlement instruction.

Distributor paid first

The wholesale share is settled into a ring-fenced trust account at the collector's own incumbent, regulated bank — before any residual is released.

Never holds funds

PowerSettle issues instructions only; the regulated bank holds the money and executes the disbursement — keeping the platform outside the payment perimeter.

Full assurance

Every payment, settlement and allocation is reconciled and written to an immutable audit ledger, with real-time visibility for the distributor and oversight bodies.

Where PowerSettle applies

Electricity Transmission & Distribution

Revenue assurance on bulk supply

For distributors whose revenue is collected by municipalities or other intermediaries, PowerSettle guarantees the wholesale share is remitted first — with no change to vending, retail channels, or the customer experience.
